Just what are the Mass Games?
It’s a mass performance featuring up to 100,000 participants in a 90-minute display of gymnastics, dance, acrobatics, and dramatic performance. It features the ‘largest picture in the world’ – a giant mosaic of 21,000 students each holding a book whose pages are turned to make up one gigantic scene. It is recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records and held in the largest stadium in the world.
The original Arirang Mass Games were first held in 2002 and continued every year until it suddenly stopped in 2013. In 2018 it made a surprising & welcome come back under the title of “The Glorious Country” with performances including drones, high flying acrobats, lasers and LED lights for dark performances. The Mass Games returned again in 2019 as “The Land of the People”.

The Mass Games run from mid August to mid September.
We will apply for your visa on your behalf. You collect it from us pre-tour in China. It’s that simple – no need to surrender your passport at any point.
We will also supply you an invitation letter for your Chinese visa application.
