Travel to Chechnya – Chechnya Tour, August 2021.
Rocky Road Travel runs a North Ossetia & Chechnya tour every August. The tour begins in the capital of North Ossetia – Vladikavkaz. We will take in the historical city of the dead at Dargavs, visit the site of the Beslan school massacre and also pass through the Republic of Ingushetia and Dagestan.
In Chechnya itself, we explore the capital – Grozny, once labelled as the most destroyed city on the planet. During the wars of the 1990s, Chechnya was the most dangerous place on earth. Today, however, the Chechen Republic is reborn. Grozny now resembles ‘the Dubai of the Caucasus’.
We’ll learn about the fascinating history of the city and region from our local guides and travel into the Chechen countryside to Lake Kezonoyam.
If these dates don’t work, contact us for private tours of Chechnya. We can arrange a guide for any dates you wish.
